Glen Mhor
Another of the Inverness 'trilogy' of distilleries. Closer in style to Glen Albyn than to Millburn, Glen Mhor is perhaps even more 'un-sexy' and 'difficult' at times. The 1980s and 1970s examples can often be hugely gravely, mineral, occasionally herbal and often thick and austere. The 1960s examples are often more complex and waxy and veer more towards a more traditional old style Highland whisky. The best examples were generally bottled by Gordon & MacPhail and were distilled in the 1960s.
