Dailuaine is a well-regarded, full-bodied Speyside whisky of which many lovely examples exists. Perhaps the best are the well aged 1960s examples by Cadenhead and Douglas Laing which are beautifully old style, resinous, mentholated, herbal and complex drams. Latterly there have been many excellent independent examples from Berry Brothers, the SMWS and The Whisky Agency which reveal the distillery's quite fulsome, oily and often very fruity distillate very well. Older examples are generally the best as Dailuaine ages very well, but many younger examples are great every day drinkers as well. A bit of an overlooked distillery.
